Exploring Brooklyn and Mi Brooklyn

This month United Photo Industries selected some work from my Brooklyn Book Project for their "Exploring Brooklyn" exhibition to be shown on a fence in Dumbo, along with 9 other very talented Brooklyn photographers in collaboration with the New York Road Runners Club, in celebration of the Brooklyn Half Marathon. It was really exciting to see my Holga work printed so large. For a closer look click here.

I was also a winner with an honorable mention in United Photo Industries Mi Brooklyn Postcard Competition in collaboration with Brooklyn Tourism, an initiative of Borough President Marty Markowitz. A photograph I took of the Brooklyn Grange Rooftop Farm at The Brooklyn Navy Yard will be one of seven postcards in the new Brooklyn Tourism Postcard Set. To learn more click here.

Brooklyn Tourism Postcards

I am thrilled to be one of the photographers chosen for the new Brooklyn Tourism Postcard Set. An Honorable Mention was awarded to my photograph of The Brooklyn Grange Rooftop Farm at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in the “Mi Brooklyn” Postcard Competition and will be part of a new postcard set representing the borough of Brooklyn (and rooftop farming) to the world. "Mi Brooklyn" is presented by Brooklyn Tourism, an initiative of Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, in collaboration with United Photo Industries and made possible by the generous support of Willoughby's Camera Emporium.

Lohas Magazine / April Issue

Lohas Magazine, a lovely Health and Sustainability Lifestyle Magazine out of China featured photographs I took of both Brooklyn Grange and Eagle Street Rooftop Farm in their April Garden Issue. It's a beautifully produced magazine and I am happy to be part of bringing attention to two of the most special rooftop farms I know.There is an interview with me as well and links to both farms.

This spring magazines are coming out with Garden Issues and I will have urban agriculture photographs I spent last year taking published in The Chicago Tribune Magazine and Lohas Magazine (a sustainability lifestyle magazine from China) and I was also happy to shoot something for the first time for Edible Brooklyn's Water Issue, covering Mermaid's Garden, a CSF (Community Supported Fishery) in Brooklyn.
